Well, the time has arrived when fluid won't leave my body and sets up shop in my legs and giving me the dreaded CANKLES!! You know, when your ankles swell so much that your calves just run straight into your ankes? Hence, Cankles.

I am thankful that these lovely accessories of pregnancy have waited until 6 monts in before arriving but not really excited about looking down at them for the next 3 months.

I won't be taking any pictures for documentation. You will just have to take me at my word.

My 5th period class today begged to see my cankles as I sat with my feet propped up. They got a big kick out of it and made me laugh in spite of myself.

So I know prop my feet at work any time I can and I come home each day and elevate the tootsies. At night I try and do the same and hope by morning I can squeeze my feet into a pair of shoes.

Pregnancy is quite the roller coaster ride!!! Lots of fun stuff. I am guessing these next 3 months will fly by and the cankles will be quickly replaced with a beautiful baby boy.

Have a great night! Time for some sleep and De-Cankelization!!

Sorry to hear you have Cankkes! You remember how bad I got with Melissa so I hope it doesn't get that bad for you. I'm blessed this time around it has missed me so far. Keep the legs up as much as you can.

That's a new word to me! :) Definitely not a new condition, but a new word :) I had terrible trouble with cankles my first time around, but didn't drink hardly any pop (sodium) the second time around and did much better. Maybe try to cut out some sodium -- and good luck! :)
