Week 1...We Survived!

As many of you know, a newborn baby changes everything about life!! Jackson was born last Monday and we got home and somewhat settled on Wednesday. We are not in a routine yet and I don't suspect we will be for a while longer but Jackson and I are figuring each other out. Feeding has been an adventure and there were moments when I didn't know if I could do it again but the Lord is faithful and gives you what you need just when you need it..yes...even to get through breastfeeding!

I love when Jackson is wide awake and making faces of all kinds. He has no clue how precious he is and how much he already makes me laugh. I never knew I could fall in love so quickly but it has happened.

We have made it through the first week and the adventure has just begun.

Here we are all ready for the ride home! What a great day!

Amy, It may not seem like it at this point, but it (breastfeeding) DOES get easier. Keep it up, you are doing great! Everything will work itself out. The first few weeks are the hardest, but after that it is a piece of cake. Everything you are experiencing is totally normal. I remember feeling like giving up, but now I am so glad I didn't.
